Billie's mother
Hello to all. Billie has gone to Amarillo to take care of her mother. She will be there until sometime in March. I will go up there to get some hearing aids and hopefully she will be able to come home then. If not, she will come home later on. I will be accepting cooked meals here in Victoria until then ;) ;)

Global Warming , May The Force be With Us.
Well all this ice and snow we have here on the Texas Gulf Coast is from the effects of global warming. In fact all this ice and snow we have in the USA is caused by global warming. Besides being proven to be good at faking and changing documents these global warming nuts have to come up with ingenious ways to explain this cold weather. I have even heard that now we are moving into another ice age. Imagine that. Wow. Now that is some change!!!! I wonder if all these nuts are going to get rich off this new weather change. Well ,we only have ice and no snow to go with it. Better than all our friends up North. ;) ;) Better close this for now before ,THEY, start a new file on me. ;)

From Billie
I haven't posted anything here since October and the Baloon Festival. Lydell has done a fairly decent job of keeping the blog up to date. From him you get the facts and that's about it.
We truely are having a wonderful time. We may not DO a whole lot, but what we do we enjoy. We sleep late, eat a late breakfast, do what chores we have to day for the day, Spend time on the computer, and then pretty much do what ever else we want to do. We spend a lot of time watching old movies on TV, reading, and crocheting. We spend time visiting with the folks here in the RV park.
One of the beautiful days last week we went to the Zoo here in Victoria. A very nice clean facility. It's not a big zoo by any means but it was very nice.
Saturday we drove over to Port Lavaca, Seadrift, Rockport, Aranasas, then took the ferry over to Port Aranasas drove along the island and back to Corpus to Christie. Stopped and ate dinner at Catfish Charlie's. Great food. Then on back to Victoria. A nice day trip. We will take more day trips once the weather warms up again.
We have found a church home here. We are attending First Baptist Church. The people are warm, loveing, friendly and have made us feel welcome since the first time we visited. The pastor is a good bible teacher and a very godly man. I have joined their choir---about 30 member strong. The choir is robed every Sunday morning and sings with pinano, organ, keyboard, drum, 2 guitars and sometimes a saxaphone. A great balance of hymns and the more contemporay praise/worship music. I am loving this opportunity to serve God by singing. We are already working on the Easter Pagent music.
The Sunday School class is great. We attend the Senior Couples class. Our teacher is a 90 yr gentleman who accepted Christ after he turned 60 years old and he has truely dedicated himself to studying the Bible and shareing God's words with everyone he meets. He spends 4-5 hours everyday studying the Bible and praying. A great Bible student and teacher.
The weather has turned cold here but not nearly as cold as others of you have.
Our lows are going to be down around 20 for the next 3 nights and the highs will be between 35-40 with winds gusting to 35mph. We will be staying in for a few days. I know, I know some of you would consider this to be a tropical heat wave right now with your 0 or negative temps. Stay indoors and stay warm.
I'll try to be better at posting more often.
