Merry Christmas

We have been in Dodge City since Sunday the 18th.  Monday we had a bit of a blizzard here in Dodge.  Not as bad as just west and North of us in Scott City, Ks.  They had about 18 inches of snow with winds up to 35-40 MPH.

Monday night our daughter Melanie and her tow children-Kylee and Tucker- came over to our daughter Mishcelle's--where we are staying--just in case the electricity went out. Mischelle has a generator.  We had so much fun!! Mischelle made three different kinds of fudge.  YUMMMMM!!!!!!! And we played a new word came Appleletters. This was fun.

Tuesday---Melanie, Kylee, Tucker and I made sugar cookies while Mischelle was at work.  After supper we all worked at decorating the cookies we baked.  What fun!!!!
LOVE, LOVE this time of year spent with family.

Mr and Mrs Claus also made an appearance.

Lydell's shirt says, "Does this shirt make me look fat?"

Wishing you all a very Merry CHRISTmas and a Blessed New Year!

Merry Christmas

We are still in Amarillo for Christmas with Billie's folks.  We have had a good time.  I think we are going to see the new Sherlock Holms movie with Robert and Patsy when it comes out.  Will probably go to Dodge City this weekend for Christmas with the kids.  It will probably be colder there.   That 60-70 deg. weather in Victorial sure looks good now.  Hope we don't have any ice or snow on the way up to DC.  Will post more later.  I hate to run-on so.  SEEYALATERALLIGATOR !!

MERRRRRRRRRRRY CHRISTMAS, YALL !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Christmas times

Well.  Here we are again.  Christmas time.  We are in Amarillo for Billie's fathers birthday.  We had a long trip from Victoria on Thursday.  We will be here until Sunday 18 th.  Then on to Dodge City to see the kids and grandkids.  Boy.  It is colder here than on the coast in Victoria.  Brings back old memories.  Cold ones !!  We will have a good time in DC with friends and fellow Christians at our church there.  Looking forward to what presents Santa will leave for me  under the tree.  Will get to see my friends at the good ole USPS while I am there.  Bet they are busy !!!! Had a great year with Billie living our Great Adventure that God has provided for us.  We have met many great people on the road this year.  Looking forward to seeing them again this year.   Watch out.  I may just show up at your door this year!!  SEEYALATERALLIGATOR !!!!!!

Update

Well guys.  It has been a while.  We are being bad today!  Stayed home from Church.  Three long trips this week and I just barely got out of bed.  Billie is still sleeping.  It seems to be harder to get up as I get older.  Why is that ?  I made two trips to San Antonio, Tx. this week to the D.A.V. to get some paperwork done.  One trip to Houston, Tx. to see my old college , football roomate.  Stephen and I roomed together at West Texas State University in 1966.  We were a unique pair. I tend to think of mydelf as the NORMAL one. :)  I met Stephen and Virginia in Houston.  They have led an exciting life working in Washington DC for the Govt.  Stephen has traveled all over the world.  Me.  Not so much.  Just a boring, balding, fat old guy!!  Billie didn't get to go.  She had gone to a Woman of Faith Conference in San Antonio.  Back to San Antonio !!  What's up with that ?  She came home all excited and had a great time.  Vriginia probably will be back to Houston to see the kiddos soon and We will go up to see her so Billie can " Remember Old Times " also.  Today will be in the 80s with high humidity.  How can we have so much humidity and no rain??????  I have things to do today but think I will just lay around , rest up and watch football. I can sleep pretty well during tha Pro-Football games.  They are getting "SO BORING! MUSSENT HIT THE QUARTERBACK"!!!!!!!!!!  We love to watch College games.  They are fun.  So much going on.  Like the streaker dressed up as a referee last weekin the Az.- UCLA game.  At least I think it was that game.  Had not seen that for a long time.  Well I am getting bored writing so I will close for now.  SEEYALATERALLIGATOR!!

I'm 65 yrears old now

Well guys.  Had my 65 th.  birthday on Tuesday. Being born on Friday 13 th.  has made me unique. We had a great day.  Ate at Mimi's and went to see " Cowboys and Aliens " at the movies.  A good pic. even if it was a little wierd. We are leaving in one week and heading to Dodge City Ks. to see the kiddos for the weekend.  Then on down to Amarillo for 2-3 weeks before going on down to Victoria Tx. for the winter.  Sure hope Texas starts cooling off before we get there.  SEEYALATERALLIGATOR !!!

'bout time to leave

Well.  Here it is Sept.  Almost my birthday.  Received my happy 65 th. birthday letter from the good ole USPS.  My life insurance premiums are going up $82 a month, along with other things.  So much for change from good ole obama. Today is very cool for this time of year.  Got into the low 50s last night.  I even thought about turning on the heater, except for the price of electricity and propane.  It has been in the 90s here for a while.  I know that is cool compared to Tx. and surrounding states.  We are getting close to our date for leaving on the 22nd. of Sept.  Will start getting things cleaned  up in the next few weeks. Some of our friends here have started leaving and heading South already. Will head  back South and end up in Victoria Tx. for the winter by mid. October. We are staying at the Lazy Longhorn RV park this time.  Could not get a place in the park we stayed in last year.Lots of Winter Texans an construction workers in the area.  Our new park looks nice and it is only about 1/ 2 mile South of our old park. Well better close for now.  SEEYALATERALLIGATOR .

Bertha repaired

Well today is Aug. 30.  Thursday  will be three weeks until we leave Loveland for our pilgrimage South ending up in Victoria Tx. for the winter.  Yesterday we got Bertha repaired from the July hail storm.  God took care of us again.  The actual repairs didn't cost as much as the estimates. We had $22 left over so after we got home and showered we got to go out to Golden Corral for supper.  I even stopped short of getting full.  Wow!!!   We are just going to lay around, so what's the diff., and recoop. today.  Will get to see the kids many more times before we leave.  God has been good to us on our GREAT ADVENTURE and we have had many great experiences and met many good people.  Neither Billie nor I have ever regretted our decision nor  would have missed it for the world.  We are looking forward to the many people we will meet as we continue our travels. I figure we will have to stop traveling  when we get too old, in about 40 yrs., or when the Rapture comes.  Until then, the beat goes on !!! SEEYALATERALIGATOR !!!!!

UPDATE

Hi all.  Just want to update everyone on our GREAT ADVENTURE .  The Summer is about over here.  Kiddos return to schooll next week.   We will get the car repaired this week from the hail storm we had in July.  The motorhome gets repaired at the end of Aug.  All is going well.  We have new neighbors on both sides.  People sure do move around a lot.  I guess they are getting their travels in before schools resume.  Things are still high priced here.  The economy is not doing so well.  I guess the  change obama promised everyone came true.  For the better ????  I ran the  motorhome engine and generator engine yesterday.  They have to be run every month to keep them functioning correctly while we are parked.  Just part of our pm on the motorhome.  Not much else going on here, except life !!!  SEEYALATERALLIGATOR !!

Billie goes to Dodge City, Ks.

Well.  It is that time of year again.  We have taken the grandkids to the DC rodeo finals for the last 6-8yrs.  This is the first year just Billie will go.  I will stay here for a week by myself.  I feel BEANIEWEENIES coming on.  I am taking Billie and Bonnie and her daughters to Burlington Co. on Sun. where we will meet Melanie.  She will take the crowd on to DC.  Then  the next Sun. we will reverse the proceedure.  We have gotten the RV hail damage estimated and into the Ins. co.  Just waiting on them.  Probably in a couple of weeks we will get the call to take it in to get fixed.  Then we will be whole except for the car which goes in for repair of hail damage in the middle of Aug.  We will stay here until 22 Sept. when we will go to Amarillo for a couple of weeks and then go  on down to Victoria Tx. for the winter.  SEEYALATERALLIGATOR !!

One HAIL of a storm !!!!!

Well, Wednesday night it happened.  A humongus hail storm hit Loveland.  Did tremendous damage to the park where we are staying. Hail as big as pingpong  balls and flying at hurricane speeds. Damage to the car and RV.  Vents broken and covers on the ACs broken but aparantly no roof damage.  God took care of us.  I can't see how we would have escaped roof damage otherwise.  Lots of the people here are older and don't carry insurance enough to cover their damages. I can attest that it is getting harder  to live these days on a fixed income when our present government , obama , is doing all it can to bankrupt us.   I  feel for those parents who are trying to raise kids these days.  It is a tremendous challenge for them to keep things paid and raise their kids.  Those who have jobs today, may  not tomorrow.  I just want to know when all the  countries in the world that are receiving our FOREIGN AID  are going to start importing jobs to us!!  I think is our turn to receive FOREIGN AID from them for a while. Let all their citizens pour free money into our country for 50-60 years and see how they like it.  I know this is not PC enough for many of you.  Well tough NOOGIES !!! Just my opinion.

July 10, 2011++++++Billie

We've been here in cooler Colorado for about 3 weeks now.  We have managed to stay really busy doing nothing---OK not exactly nothing, but having a great time.

I wrote that on our way to Colorado I fell and broke a tooth.  The dentist was able to put a temporay filling on and it looks as good as new.  I've not had any problems with it, so hopefully when I see him next week we'll be able to schedule putting a permanet filling or cap on the tooth.

We've gotten to spend a lot of time with the granddaughters here.  We are over at their house a couple of times a week.

We've taken the girls to the movies, played hours of farckle,  black jack, Banana Gram, Chicken Foot, and SkipBo, watched  several movies on TV and we drove up to Estes Park and Rocky Mountain National Park where we had a picnic on the river.  We've even been shopping a couple of times.
The 4th of July we went to a cookout at our pastor's house with others from the church and then walked down the road about 2 miles to enjoy the fireworks display in Loveland.  What a great time this was of great people, great food and wonderful entertainment.

Yesterday we had a sign made to hang on the front of Bertha.  It says, " Home is where we park it" and has a picture of a motorhome.

Bertha's sign

Tomorrow we are takeing the girls and Bonnie to Denver to see the Butterfly Emporium.  Should be a great day.  I'm really looking forward to this as I love Butterflies.

We've met some really great people here in the RV Park.  Woody, a friend we met here last September is also back here.  Lydell spends a lot of time swapping stories with Woody.  He is a really great guy.  We met another couple who are just now starting to live full time in their trailer.  We've had a great time visiting with them and shareing our adventures of RV Living.   We have a lot in common with this couple.  They will be here another month.

Bonnie and the girls and I will be going to Dodge City for the last couple of days of Dodge City Days/rodeo at the end of the month.  Always a good time when we are all togehter for Dodge City Days.  Lydell is going to stay in Loveland with Bertha.

Until next time, ya'll be safe.

Great time being had by all here,Loveland Co.

Hi.   We are finally moved into our permanant spot here at Fireside RV.  We had been in a temp. spot . Someone cxld their reservation and we got to move into their spot.  Very nice park.  About 30-40 trailers, beautiful trees and pretty quiet.  We were staying under some cottonwood trees.  Nice and cool but we got sap on Bertha.  I didn't remember cottonwood trees weeping that bad. The cottonwood seeds are drifting and causing some sinus congestion.  Won't last long though.  We are getting a mobil-wash guy to wash Bertha today. I want to get the sap off before it gets too hard. Pretty reasonable price I must say. The weather has been very nice.  70-80 in the day and 40-50 at night with winds of 6-11 MPH.  Just right for sleeping and sitting out in the evening.  We bought one of those" Of " personal fan thingeys that clips on your belt they are advertising on tv these days to keep the mosquitoes away. It really worked and only cost $ 10. I was really surprised.  I am somewhat skeptical of those things. We have had a great time visiting with Bonnie and her family and visiting their church again. Having a good time visiting with fellow Gypsies that we met here last year who have returned for the summer. Well I must close for now as Billie is fixing brunch.  Will SEEYALATERALLIGATOR !!!

Loveland Co.

Well we are finally set up in Loveland Co.  Man!  It is cold here.  70-80s during the day and 50s at night.  Rain, Rain and more rain. I may have to break out the sweats.  We are getting settled in and will put up the pretties outside today.  We are going to Camping World today and buy me a directors chair for Fathers Day and one for Billie for Mothers Day.  Just can't get out of the folding canvas type anymore without a winch truck !!!!  Besides they have a little folding table made onto the chair to put your food and drinks on.  No more ants crawling all over your food and drinks outside.  Hope they have a RED one in stock. What color do I like??  Red, Red and more Red!!!!!!!!  We have to stock up on groceries also. We let the larder run down while we traveled to save weight. Thus saveing $$$ on the mpg.  Good to be back here where we camped last year. Many old friends are here again.  Well I guess I am all talked out for now.  Have to finish my coffee and get busy.SEEYALATERALLIGATOR !!!!

On the road again. Billie posting

We left Dodge City Wednesday morning right at 9 am cst. We stopped in Goodland, Ks to fill up with gas about 1:30, I went in the store to get a snack, Coming out I was distracted by something in the window, missed the step on the sidewalk and fell flat on my face. Hit my nose, mouth and left knee--- breaking my right front tooth, skinned my nose, and left knee. I don't know how it kept from breaking my glasses, but they are fine. My dignity is brused, however. I called our daughter, Bonnie, in Loveland and she was able to get me in to see her dentist Thursday afternoon. I'm hopeing he'll be able to just cap what's left of the tooth.  We will be around for 3 months if I need more than just one trip to see him.
We stoppped at 3:30 cst in Seibert to spend the night.  Found a leak in the water heater.  The whole 6 gallons had leaked out.  Uck!!!!  Called and got an appoint Friday morning at RV America in Johnstown--just south of Loveland. So we will spend the night at Johnsons Corner RV.
Thursday morning on the road again at 8am mst.  My dentist appoint is at 4 this afternoon.  I sure have a fat lip.  My knee and both wrists are OK not even sore.  The tooth hurts if I bump it.  Do you know how much you use your front teeth to talk and eat--even chewing on the sides.  The dentist had told Bonnie to have me take 600-800mg of ibprofin to help with pain.  I'm sure that's why the wrist and knee don't hurt.
We stopped for gas at Limon.  I stayed IN the motor home.

Hey ! It's the weekend !

Well the weekend is here.  4 more days until we relocate to Loveland Co. for three mos. and hopefully a cooler climate.  Lots of heat , wind and fires here in Dodge City.  There was a good size fire just West of us yeaterday.  Good thing the wind had changed directions or We would have been chared!!  Crispy.  The Lord took care of us again.  I don't know what started it but I am glad they got it under controll.  Fire trucks were still over there last night putting out cinders.  We are going to Garden City tonight and have supper with Billie's sister, Idabeth, and her family.  Looking forward to a good visit. We just about have everything ready for our move.  Probably dump tomorrow or Mon., fill up with gas and perform final checks.  Well I will write later when we set set up in Colorado. It's Friday

Well. Here it is again.  Friday.  Another week is gone.  I am older.  So what else is new ? Not much here.  I have been doing some repairs on the car tow dolly.  J'B Weld works wonders.  Hope it holds on the plastic fenders.  Some old cracks and splits needed repaired.  Will wait a few days and then touch up the gaps.  Billie is doing the laundry today.  It is about 100 F here with lots of wind.  Very dry.  We will leave on the 15 th. for Colorado.  Hopefully it will be cooler there for the summer.  Hope gasoline prices continue to fall.  About $1.00 gal. would be ok.  It is not worth that but I really doubt it will drop.  We are over the barrell, no pun intended, and a president and Senate with no guts.  Well someone voted them in .I didn't. It's windy here !!!

It has been really windy here this last week.  Several days of tree bending wind.  The slide toppers on the Motorhome have really been poping.  We are enjoying the kids and visiting old friends at church.  Not much rain though.  We will leave on 15 June for Loveland Co. to get out of the summer heat. We will try to make some short car day trips while we are there.  Gasoline is eating up our budget.  As it is everyone else I am sure.  Does anyone out there Read this ? SEEYALATERALLIGATOR!!!! Dodge city, its cold !!!

Hi guys.  We are safely in DCity now.  However more refrigerator problems.  Problem with that is there is no one to fix it here.  The one RV place in town can't look at it until mid June after we leave for Colorado.  The one mobile  RV repairman from Garden city wants $ 350.00 just to drive over here, 50 miles, and look at it for 1 hour.  Well so much for being  in Western Kansas.  No civilization out here in the hinterland !! It is cold and rainy here today.  We are going to see the new Pirates of the Caribbean today.  Looks good on the tv trailers.  We are enjoying our time here.  Will see old friends again and our church family this Sunday. Good to be able to visit with the kids and grandkids for a few weeks. Hope we don't have any hail or tornadoes while we are here.  If we do, the tornado shelter is only 10 feet away. Well, better go for now.  Got to get busy.  SEEYALATERALLIGATOR !!!

Independence Missouri

Well guys.  Just thought I would update you.  We are in Independence Mo., home of Pres. Harry Truman.  We went to our grandaughters Thespian banquet last night.  She won all kinds of directing and acting  awards.  She is an inteligent and beautiful girl.  Today we got up about 10 am.  and played tourist.  We visited Pres. Truman's home and Presidential Museum and Library.  Very interesting.  Got in for free on our National Parks golden age pass.  Interesting that a peson with just bairly a high school education could be President and drop the first Atomic Bomb.   Today we have overly educated idiots in elected office.  It's our own fault.   We vote for them over and over.  Why don't we get rid of them? Well tomorrow we are going to see some more free sights. I may have to break down and pay to see the Steamship Arabia.  Very interesting story.  Google it.  Well Billie is cooking supper so I better go. SEEYALATERALLIGATOR!! SEEYALATERALLIGATOR !!!!!

Update

Well.  Just thought I should update everyone on what we have been up to.  We have left Victoria.  Spent a great winter there.  Lovely city.  We found a loving church to attend.  We joined under their Watchcare program for Winter Texans. We were in their Easter Pagent .  YES ! I did participate on a small scale. We have left the humidity and heat for the summer.  We  stopped in Breckenridge Tx. where we attended my 46 th. HS reunion and saw some classmates that have been absent for a long time.  Had a great visit.  We are now in OKC for a few days and then on to KC for a two week visit to see our Grandaughter graduate. Then to Dodge City for 3-4 weeks be for ending up in Loveland Co. for the summer.  We might go to the Balck Hills with our daughter who lives in Loveland. It would be a car trip since gasoline has gone crazy.  It will be a fun trip with her family.  Will probably see the other sights while we are there.  Will be glad to renew old acquaintences at the rv park. Well I am about all takked out. SEEYALATERALLIGATOR !!!!!!

From Billie

OK, so I haven't posted again for several months.  A lot has happened since I last posted.  February 9, my sister Patsy and I went to Amarillo to help Mother and Daddy out.  Mother was haveing unbearable pain in her right leg and hip from pinched nerves in her lower back and was to have surgery.  There were some delays and I stayed in Amarillo with Mother and Daddy until April 7.
Mother's surgery was successful and she is doing really well.  God was faithful and answered the prayers of all who were praying for her.

We took a short trip up to Dodge City to see our kids and grandkids there.  Had to make a trip to Wichita, Ks to take care of some business there then back to Amarillo for a couple more days.

We got back down to Victoria late on the 7th.   We drove through country that should have been covered in wild flowers and bluebonnets.  There were very few flowers of any kind. I was disappointed.  Last Saturday we took a drive over one of the routes, that according to Texas Highways should have been covered in bluebonnets, Indian blankets, evening primrose, and other wildflowers (OK so they are just weeds) But it's just been too dry for many flowers.  The locals are also telling me that it got warm earlier than normal and has been hotter than normal for this time of year that what flowers there were were about a month earlier than usual.  So maybe next year we will see wild flowers.

We stopped in Goliad, toured the Mission at the State Park there.  Beautiful place. (Would have been more beautiful if there had been more wildflowers).
Then went into the town to see the town square.  Beautiful old court house. Ate lunch at the Hanging Tree Restuarant.  A lot of Texas history there.  In fact most of these little towns down here have a lot of Texas history about them that I remember reading about in JR High when we studies Texas History.

When I got back to Victoria, the church choir was working on the Easter Pagent.  The music director got me a CD of the choir pieces and everyone just insisted I could learn the music---so I've been listening to this and going to the practices.  Even Lydell is in the pagent as one of the disciples.  We have had practice every night this week, with dress rehersall on Friday night.  Performances Saturday evening and Sunday morning.  Wow!!

Next week we will be busy getting everything read for traveling again. For about the next 6-7 weeks we will be moving a lot from place to place.  About the middle of June we will go to Colorado where we will stay (because the gasoline prices are too high) until the middle of September when we will start back south.

Lydell will keep you more up-to-date than I have done.

Until next time---God bless you each and everyone that reads our blog posts.

Then ,off to OKC, Tulsa, Kansas City, Mo. and back to Dodge before going up to Colorado for three months.  Then back down South and Back to Victoria by the end of Oct.  We will be in Dad's RV park again next Winter.  Well will write more soon.  SEEYALATERALLIGATOR !!!!

New hearing aids

Well I have the new hearing aids now.  Got them through the VA.  I can hear better and sounds are sharp.  Sounds like I am in a culvert.  Billie's mother is doing well.  We will go to Dodge City next week on Thursday and come home Friday  Should be back in Victoria on 6 April.  We will leave there on 10 May for Kansas City.  Hope to go to the Black Hills and Yellowstone this summer.  Depends on the price of gasoline.  We may alter our plans.  Will keep you updated.  Everything else is going well.   SEEYALATERALLIGATOR  !!!!!

It's Friday !!!!!!!!!

Well ,it is time to update yall on what is hapening.  Billie's mother had a successful rgery.  She is doing well.  I am going up to Amarillo next week  to get some hearing aids and bring Billie home sometime in April.  We will , DEPENDING ON GASOLINE PRICES, go on several short day trips to see the bluebonnits before we leave.  We will go up to Kansas City to see our grandaughter graduate from high school in May..  Then we want to go up to the Black Hills and Yellowstone before returning to Victoria in Oct. However this depends on the price of gasoline.  I am guessing that obama will keep the price of fuel rising which is one of his campaing promises and is the centerpiece of his green energy policy. That said,we will probably spend some time in Colorado during the summer and then return to Victoria in the Fall.  Your guess is as good as mine.  The only thing I can say with any certainty is that one day there will be a Rapture of Gods children . I think the time is getting very near !!!  When, no human knows.  Victoria is a beautiful town of about 65,000 persons. Lots of shopping and a great variety of places to eat.  Dads RV park is a very nice place to stay and the people are very friendly.  We like it very much.  Well I must close for now and get on to other things I must do in order to get ready for leaving on Sunday.  SEEYALATERALLIGATOR !!! ;) ;)

Billie's mother

Hello to all.  Billie has gone to Amarillo to take care of her mother.  She will be there until sometime in March.  I will go up there to get some hearing aids and hopefully she will be able to come home then.  If not, she will come home later on.  I will be accepting cooked meals here in Victoria until then ;) ;)

Global Warming , May The Force be With Us.

Well all this ice and snow we have here on the Texas Gulf Coast is from the effects of global warming.  In fact all this ice and snow we have in the USA  is caused by global warming.  Besides being proven to be good at faking and changing documents these global warming nuts have to come up with ingenious ways to explain this cold weather.  I have even heard that now we are moving into another ice age.  Imagine that.  Wow.  Now that is some change!!!!  I wonder if  all these nuts  are going to get rich off this new weather change.  Well  ,we only have ice and no snow to go with it.  Better than all our friends up North. ;) ;)  Better close this for now before ,THEY, start a new file on me. ;)

From Billie

I haven't posted anything here since October and the Baloon Festival.  Lydell has done a fairly decent job of keeping the blog up to date.  From him you get the facts and that's about it.

We truely are having a wonderful time.  We may not DO a whole lot, but what we do we enjoy.  We sleep late, eat a late breakfast, do what chores we have to day for the day, Spend time on the computer, and then pretty much do what ever else we want to do.  We spend a lot of time watching old movies on TV, reading, and crocheting.  We spend time visiting with the folks here in the RV park.

One of the beautiful days last week we went to the Zoo here in Victoria.  A very nice clean facility.  It's not a big zoo by any means but it was very nice.
Saturday we drove over to Port Lavaca, Seadrift, Rockport, Aranasas, then took the ferry over to Port Aranasas drove along the island and back to Corpus to Christie.  Stopped and ate dinner at Catfish Charlie's.  Great food. Then on back to Victoria.  A nice day trip.  We will take more day trips once the weather warms up again.

We have found a church home here.  We are attending First Baptist Church.  The people are warm, loveing, friendly and have made us feel welcome since the first time we visited.  The pastor is a good bible teacher and a very godly man.  I have joined their choir---about 30 member strong.  The choir is robed every Sunday morning and sings with pinano, organ, keyboard, drum, 2 guitars and sometimes a saxaphone. A great balance of hymns and the more contemporay praise/worship music.  I am loving this opportunity to serve God by singing.  We are already working on the Easter Pagent music.
The Sunday School class is great.  We attend the Senior Couples class.  Our teacher is a 90 yr gentleman who accepted Christ after he turned 60 years old and he has truely dedicated himself to studying the Bible and shareing God's words with everyone he meets.  He spends 4-5 hours everyday studying the Bible and praying.  A great Bible student and teacher.

The weather has turned cold here but not nearly as cold as others of you have.
Our lows are going to be down around 20 for the next 3 nights and the highs will be between 35-40 with winds gusting to 35mph.  We will be staying in for a few days.  I know, I know some of you would consider this to be a tropical heat wave right now with your 0 or negative temps.  Stay indoors and stay warm.

I'll try to be better at posting more often.

Lazy Days

Well it has been a while.  Things are humming along here.  I walk and visit twice daily.  Seems like I talk   more than walk.  Have to solve the world's problems you know.  The city of Victoria put on a Winter Texans appreciation BBQ feed the other night.  Even had a good Texas Country band.  Yes, there was a fiddle in the band.  Good food and music.  Victoria does all it can to let us know they appreciate the $$$ we Winter Texans spend here.  I have to do some preventive maintenance on the RV today.  Tonight we are going to game night at the church.  Pot luck also.  Will get some 42 going.  Tomorrow some old friends from college will come over from San Antonio for a visit. It will be good to see them again.  Sorry they will be leaving in Feb. for parts unknown.  That is the way we full timers do it.  It is hard to hit a moving target.  With the way things are going in Washington DC, that is a good thing.  Well ,Billie is getting up so I will sign off for now.  Remember my motto, ANOTHER DAY ANOTHER DOLLAR, A MILLION DAYS A MILLION DOLLARS !!!!!!!!   Billie's mother,Bonnie, will be having back surgery in Amarillo in Feb.  Billie will be gone for 3-4 weeks.  About the middle of Feb. I will go to Amarillo to get hearing aids from the  VA.  Yes, those M-60A1 tanks are LOUD !! Hopefully Billie will be able to come home by then.  SEEYALATERALLIGATOR !!!

Hi guys,been a while

Howdy, from Victoria ,Tx.  We have been on the road a lot since the first of the year.  Hopefully we will be here for a while now.  Had a good visit with Billie's sister, Patsy and her husband Robert, this last weekend.  Have not lived close enough to where they live to visit for an extended period before.  We just stayed home most of the time.  We did go over to the Houston RV and boat show.  Really fun to wish I was rich.  We played dominos Sun. evening and had a good time laughing at our mistakes. Their Church folks were friendly people. We have had a lot of rain the last couple of weeks.  Texas needs it.  Maybe the burn bans can come off now Well better go now.  Billie is planning to clean the carpet today.  Guess I will have to go up to the clubhouse and visit  with all the other problem solvers.  We do a good job of it.  Well I better go.  SEEYALATERALLIGATOR   !!!!!
